What the refrigerant gas (R134a / R1234yf) does
The refrigerant changes between liquid and gas as it moves around the AC loop, absorbing heat in the cooling coil and releasing it at the condenser. The system needs the exact charge quantity listed on the label under the bonnet.
OEM or aftermarket?
R134a and R1234yf are not interchangeable, and the service ports are different. Always check the label under the bonnet before charging.
