AC Blower Motor in Chennai
The blower motor is the fan behind the dashboard that pushes cooled or heated air through the vents.
What the AC blower motor does
An electric motor spins a squirrel-cage fan wheel at the speed chosen on the AC panel. Speed is set by a blower resistor on manual systems or by an electronic module on climate-control systems. Trucks and buses use 24V blowers; most cars use 12V.
OEM or aftermarket?
Blower motors must match the housing, fan wheel size, rotation direction, connector and voltage.
Signs of a failing AC blower motor
- No air from the vents even though the AC compressor runs
- Air only on the highest speed (usually a resistor fault)
- Squealing, ticking or rattling behind the glovebox
- Weak airflow even at maximum speed

My blower only works on speed 4. Is the motor faulty?
Usually not – this is the classic sign of a failed blower motor resistor. Replacing the resistor normally restores the lower speeds.
